This is the day the Lord has made — not a day to be endured but a day to be received as a gift. His mercies are new this morning. Whatever yesterday held, today is a fresh start. I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. I choose to be present to the goodness God has placed in this day, and to bring my full self to whatever He has prepared for me.
Lord, as this day comes to a close, I bring it before You. I thank You for the moments of grace — the unexpected kindness, the answered prayer, the sense of Your presence. I confess the moments I missed — the impatience, the distraction, the failure to love well. Receive my gratitude and my confession. As I sleep, guard my rest, and let me wake tomorrow ready to begin again.
I declare that I lay down the burdens of this day and receive the rest God has prepared for me. I do not carry tomorrow's worries into tonight's sleep. I declare that God neither slumbers nor sleeps — He watches over me through the night. I release every anxiety, every unresolved situation, and every fear into His capable hands. I rest in peace because He is God and I am not.
