Lord, revive Your church. Not just our congregation, but the whole body of Christ across every tradition, nation, and generation. Where we have grown comfortable, disturb us. Where we have grown divided, unite us. Where we have grown silent, give us courage to speak. Let the church be what You intended — a community of transformed people transforming the world.
I am part of the body of Christ — a community that spans every nation, culture, and century. I am not alone in my faith. I am connected to a great cloud of witnesses who have gone before me and a living community of believers around the world. My local congregation is my family, and the global church is my heritage. I belong, and I have a part to play.
I declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church of Jesus Christ. Every attack against the body of Christ — from without and from within — will ultimately fail. I declare that the church is rising in this generation: more unified, more Spirit-filled, and more effective in its mission than in any previous era. The best days of the church are ahead.
Father, Your Son prayed that we would be one as He and the Father are one. We confess that we have fallen far short of that prayer. We are divided by theology, culture, politics, and history. Forgive us. Give us the grace to see Christ in one another across every difference, to pursue unity without sacrificing truth, and to demonstrate to the world that Your love is stronger than every human division.
