I Am Free from the Power of Sin

CharismaticFreedom and Deliverance

Full Text

I declare that I am free. Not trying to be free, not hoping to be free one day — free, right now, by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. Sin no longer has dominion over me. I am not a slave to my old patterns, my old habits, my old nature. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. I declare that every chain the enemy has used to bind me is broken in the name of Jesus. I declare that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in me, breaking the power of every addiction, every compulsion, every stronghold. I am not who I used to be. I am a new creation. I walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for me at the cross. I will not return to the chains I have been freed from. I will not believe the lie that I cannot change. I am free — and whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
