Many Christians intellectually believe that God loves them but struggle to feel it — especially in seasons of failure, shame, or prolonged suffering. The affirmations in this collection are not about manufacturing an emotional experience. They are about returning, again and again, to what Scripture declares to be objectively true: God's love for you was demonstrated at the cross before you had done anything to deserve it. His grace is not a reward for your best days. It is the free, lavish, unearned gift of a God who chose to love you in Christ. Speak these truths until they move from your head to your heart.
I am convinced — not by my feelings, but by the Word of God — that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. His love for me is not fragile. It is unbreakable.
The Lord has appeared to me saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. His love for me did not begin when I believed. It did not begin when I was born. It is everlasting — without beginning, without end, without condition. I rest in a love that I did not earn and cannot lose.
In Christ, God has lavished on me the riches of His grace. Not measured out carefully. Not given reluctantly. Lavished — poured out in abundance. I do not approach God as someone who must earn His favor. I come as one who has already received more grace than I can comprehend, and who is invited to receive more still.
The Lord my God is with me, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He takes great delight in me; He quiets me with His love; He rejoices over me with singing. I am not merely tolerated by God. I am not merely forgiven and kept at a distance. He delights in me. He sings over me. This is the God I belong to.
