A Prayer for Guidance at the Crossroads

ReformedGuidance and Decisions

Full Text

Father, I stand at a crossroads and I do not know which way to go. The options before me each carry weight, and I am aware that I can be deceived by my own desires, my own fears, and my own limited understanding. I do not trust my judgment alone. I come to You — the One who sees the end from the beginning, who knows what I cannot know, who holds every path in Your hands. Give me wisdom. Not just information, but wisdom — the kind that comes from knowing You and trusting Your character. Illuminate the path You have prepared. Close the doors that are not from You, even when they look appealing. Open the doors that are from You, even when they seem unlikely. Let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. And give me the courage to follow where You lead, even when I cannot see the whole road ahead. I surrender my preferences to Your purposes. Lead me, Lord.
