Heavenly Father, You are the God who heals. You healed the leper, the blind man, the woman who had been ill for twelve years. You raised the dead. I do not come to You demanding a miracle as though I have earned it. I come as a child who trusts a loving Father, asking boldly for what only You can give. I ask for healing. I ask for the cancer to be stopped, for the treatment to work, for my body to respond. I ask for the kind of healing that confounds the doctors and glorifies Your name. And I ask, in the same breath, for the grace to trust You if the healing does not come in the way I am asking for it. You are good. You are sovereign. You are not indifferent to my suffering. Whatever comes, let me know that You are with me — and let my life, in sickness and in health, be a testimony to Your faithfulness.
