When the Diagnosis Comes
PrayerLord, I did not expect this word. I sat in that office and heard a sentence that changed everything, and now I am trying to find my footing in a world that looks the same but feels entirely different. I do not know what comes next. I do not know what my body will endure or what my family will face. I only know that You were present before this diagnosis, and You are present now. You are not surprised. You are not afraid. You have not abandoned me. I bring You my fear, my confusion, my grief, and the questions I cannot yet form into words. Hold me in this moment. Let me not face it alone. And give me, one step at a time, the courage to walk forward.
