I am not making this decision alone. God is present in the consultation room, in the second opinion, in the conversation with my family, in the quiet moment when I try to discern what is right. He gives wisdom generously to those who ask. He is not withholding guidance from me. I choose to trust that as I seek wise counsel, ask honest questions, and bring my decision before God in prayer, He will lead me. Medicine is a gift, and the people who practice it are instruments of God's care. I will pursue the best medical guidance available to me, and I will trust God with what I cannot control. The decision is mine to make — and God's to bless.
