Lord Jesus, I am in the middle of treatment now. The chemotherapy, the radiation, the immunotherapy — whatever this is — is doing its work in my body, and I am trying to cooperate with it even when it is hard. I thank You for medicine. I thank You for the researchers who developed these treatments, the nurses who administer them with care, the doctors who monitor my progress. I ask You to make the treatment effective — to let it reach what it needs to reach and spare what it needs to spare. I ask You to sustain me through the side effects, the fatigue, the days when I wonder if I can continue. And I ask You to keep my spirit alive even when my body is depleted. Let me not lose hope. Let me not lose faith. Let me not lose the sense that You are with me in every infusion, every appointment, every hard day.
