Treatment Is Not the Enemy of Faith

InterdenominationalCancer Diagnosis

Full Text

I choose to receive treatment as a gift, not as a failure of faith. God heals through medicine. He heals through the knowledge He has given to researchers and physicians. He heals through the body's own remarkable capacity to respond to treatment. Choosing chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, or surgery is not a sign that I do not trust God — it is a sign that I trust the wisdom and provision He has placed in the world. I will pursue treatment with hope. I will cooperate with my medical team with gratitude. And I will pray throughout the process, trusting that God is at work in every infusion, every appointment, and every day of recovery.

Scripture References
