Father, I am waiting. Waiting for the scan, the biopsy, the pathology report, the call that will tell me what my body holds. The waiting is its own kind of suffering — not knowing, imagining, rehearsing outcomes I cannot control. You know what the results will say. You know what I will face. And You have already gone before me into whatever comes next. Teach me to wait without being consumed by waiting. Let me not spend these days in a prison of anticipation. Give me the grace to be present — to the people I love, to the ordinary gifts of this ordinary day — even while I wait. You are Lord of the waiting room as much as You are Lord of the diagnosis. I trust You here.
