I Am Held at the End of Life
Full Text
I am near the end of my life, and I am held. Not abandoned. Not forgotten. Not beyond the reach of the God who made me and who loves me. The same hands that formed me in my mother's womb are holding me now. The same God who has been faithful through every season of my life is faithful in this final one. I do not face death alone. I face it in the company of the One who has already passed through it and come out the other side. I choose to trust that what lies ahead is not darkness but light — not ending but beginning. I am held. I am loved. I am going home.
