Anxiety Is Not My Identity

InterdenominationalAnxiety and Fear

Full Text

I am experiencing anxiety, but anxiety is not my identity. I am known by God, loved by Christ, and accompanied by the Holy Spirit. I do not have to resolve every uncertainty today. I can breathe, tell the truth about what I am feeling, receive wise help, and take one faithful step at a time. My distress does not make me weak, faithless, or abandoned. God’s love remains steady even when my emotions are not. His peace can meet me gradually, honestly, and deeply.

Scripture References

Isaiah 43:1

"But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”"

Philippians 4:7

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
