I am a child of God — not by my own merit, not by my performance, not by how well I have kept the rules, but by the grace of God who adopted me into His family through faith in Jesus Christ. This is not a feeling; it is a fact. On the days when I feel unworthy, unloved, or forgotten, this truth does not change. I am known by name. I am loved without condition. I am held without reservation. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in me and bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. I choose today to live from this identity rather than toward it — not striving to earn what has already been given, but resting in who I already am in Christ. I am not defined by my failures, my past, my fears, or what others say about me. I am defined by what God says about me: I am His.
Scripture References
John 1:12
"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
Romans 8:15–16
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."
