My Grief Honors a Real Life and a Real Love
InterdenominationalPregnancy, Birth & Unborn Life
Full Text
This child mattered, and this loss is real. I do not need to minimize my grief to make others comfortable. Tears, questions, anger, numbness, and longing can all be part of mourning. I am not weak in faith because I am heartbroken. God is near to the brokenhearted, and I can heal without forgetting the child I love.
Scripture References
Psalm 34:18
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Matthew 5:4
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
