My Reactions Make Sense, and Healing Is Possible

InterdenominationalAnxiety and Fear

Full Text

My reactions are not proof that I am broken beyond repair. My mind and body learned to respond to danger, and they can gradually learn safety again. I am not required to minimize what happened, rush forgiveness, or pretend that faith erases trauma. I can pursue healing with prayer, skilled care, truthful boundaries, and patient support. God is gentle with wounded people. I can be gentle with myself while healing unfolds.

Scripture References

Psalm 34:18

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Isaiah 42:3

"A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice."
