I am allowed to rest. Sleep is not laziness or lost productivity; it is part of the creaturely life God has given me. I do not need to finish tomorrow’s work tonight. I can write down what must be remembered, release what cannot be resolved, and let my body become quiet. Whether sleep comes quickly or slowly, God remains near. I can treat myself with patience rather than fear.
Scripture References
Psalm 127:2
"In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves."
Mark 6:31
"Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”"
