Sorrow Will Not Have the Last Word
Full Text
I declare that sorrow is not the end of my story. The God who turns mourning into dancing and ashes into beauty is at work even in my grief. I declare that this loss, as real and painful as it is, does not define my future. I declare that joy will come again — not because I deny the pain, but because I trust the God who promises to make all things new. I speak to the spirit of heaviness and I declare it has no permanent place in my life. I put on the garment of praise. I declare that the enemy will not use this grief to steal my faith, my hope, or my future. I declare that I will come through this season stronger, deeper, and more rooted in the love of God than before. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. My morning is coming. I declare it in the name of Jesus.
