Lord, I am in pain. The loss is real, the absence is heavy, and the grief comes in waves I cannot predict or control. There are moments when I feel Your presence, and moments when I feel nothing at all — only the silence where a beloved voice used to be. I do not understand why. I do not have the words to make sense of it. But I bring it to You — all of it — because You are the only One who can hold it. You wept at the tomb of Lazarus. You know what grief feels like from the inside. You are not distant from my pain; You are present in it. Be near to me in this darkness. Let me feel Your presence even when I cannot see Your face. And when I cannot pray, let the Spirit intercede for me with groanings that words cannot express. I trust that You are here, even when I cannot feel it.
