This Crisis Will Not Become My God
Full Text
I declare that this crisis will not become my god. It will not command all my attention, determine all my choices, or define the whole of my identity. God remains sovereign, Christ remains Lord, and the Holy Spirit remains present and active. I will respond truthfully and responsibly, but I will also rest, receive love, notice grace, and continue the work God has given me. Nothing in this crisis can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Scripture References
Romans 8:35–39
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Psalm 46:10
"He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”"
