Prayers for
Some moments do not allow for long, composed prayers. These are for the moments when you need God right now — short, honest, urgent cries from the middle of the storm.

The shortest prayers in Scripture are often the most powerful. Peter sinking in the water: 'Lord, save me.' The tax collector in the temple: 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' Nehemiah before the king: a silent prayer in a single breath. God does not require eloquence in a crisis. He requires honesty. These prayers are for the moments when everything is falling apart and you need to reach for God with whatever words you have.
God, I need you right now. I do not have time for a long prayer. I do not have the words for a composed one. I just need you. Be my refuge. Be my strength. Be my ever-present help in this trouble. I cannot handle this on my own. I am not trying to. I am calling out to you. Please come. Amen.
Lord, [name] is in danger and I am afraid. I cannot be there. I cannot fix this. But you can. Protect them. Surround them with your presence. Send help. Let your hand be on them right now, in this moment. I trust you with what I cannot control. Please — be with them. Amen.
Father, everything is falling apart at once. I do not know where to start. I do not know what to do first. I feel overwhelmed and underprepared. Be my peace in this chaos. Give me the next right step — just one. I do not need to see the whole path. I just need to know where to put my foot next. Lead me. I will follow. Amen.
God, I have an urgent need and I do not know how it will be met. I am bringing it to you right now. You are Jehovah Jireh — the God who sees and provides. I ask for provision in this moment. Open a door. Send help. Make a way where I cannot see one. I trust you. I need you. Please provide. Amen.
