The peace of God is not the absence of difficulty — it is the presence of God in the midst of difficulty. I choose today to receive the peace that Jesus promised: not as the world gives, but as only He can give. My circumstances may be turbulent. The storm may be real. But the One who spoke to the wind and the waves and said 'Peace, be still' is the same One who speaks to the storms in my life. I am not at the mercy of my circumstances. I am held by the God who is greater than every storm I face. I release my grip on the outcomes I cannot control and receive the peace that passes understanding. I let it guard my heart and my mind. I choose to be anxious for nothing and grateful for everything, bringing every concern to God in prayer and trusting that He hears and He acts.
