Love Can Be Present Before the Ending
Full Text
I do not have to wait until death to acknowledge my grief, and I do not have to let the coming loss take away every moment that remains. I can love this person in the life that is present today. I can receive laughter without guilt, silence without panic, and help without believing I have failed. I can make room for fear and gratitude in the same day. My presence does not need to cure what I cannot cure. Faithful love may look like listening, advocating, arranging care, resting, forgiving, remembering, or simply staying near. God is present before the ending, at the ending, and beyond what I can see. Neither life nor death can separate those who belong to Christ from His love.

1 Corinthians 13:7–8
"It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
Psalm 121:7–8
"The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
